Carrying creativity forward...
The hills of Healdsburg California were a tapestry of vineyards and inspiration for my Grandmother, Joan Franceschina, where she dedicated her life to being a winemaker and established artist. I was fortunate to have such an influential icon paint my life with fine art and Italian cuisine.
My mother, Celene Ryan, illustrated her creativity with weaving, basket making, illustration and most notably, fine watercolor painting.
Visiting Healdsburg was an alchemy of watching my mother and grandmother spend hours painting together, collaborating or influencing each others techniques.
It was in my grandmother's studio where I learned about classical music, quietude and creative flow.
Today, I carry on the legacy of studying watercolor under the tutelage of my mother. As time passes, my techniques improve and personality show through while I develop my own place in this profound and magical art heritage.
